Interior Designing: Do You Have The Skills?

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Business, Interior Design | Posted on 27-04-2008

As some of you may know, I am starting an interior design business and site, which will have many features. Before I start the site I am doing research on how I want it to look to know exactly what programs to use and other things of the sort. I have a little sketch of how I want the dropdown menu bar to look, how that will be organized. In my research, I am looking on how interior design websites are structured and what components they have. The basic look of most is very sleek, but plain. This reminds me of video of top design winner Matt who won topdesign on BravoTV.

In my research I came about a site that first asks you some questions. You check the category off if it applies to you. All of the categories applied to me. The categories were:

Do you have an interest in physical spaces? When you are in a space do you tend to take notice of your surroundings?

Do you frequently make suggestions on how to improve your home surroundings, or do you like to design or redesign your personal space?

Can you some day see yourself as the person responsible for redesigning the interior of your school, your favorite restaurant or nightspot, or a clothing store?

Are you creative or artistic?

Do you work well in teams to solve problems and overcome challenges?

I wonder if it is ironic that all the categories applied to me, but they did. I may be made to be a designer. Do you have what it takes? Go on to the button down there that says, “click here” and read more about interior designing. There are other helpful pages on that site and that is why I bookmarked it. I am on the long path to victory.

I am Back Redesigning Rooms

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 26-04-2008

I am back from our little expedition, which started later and ended later than I expected. Right now I just wanted to inform you I lived, and I had no close calls to life, unless you count that eating popcorn can lead to choking which can lead to death. (I did eat popcorn) Now I am just redesigning my sister’s room, and hopefully when she sees it she will hardly recognize it. Busy now, catch up with you later!

What Might I Do?

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Business | Posted on 26-04-2008

Today I have been very busy. I have been trying to sign up with adsense, but of course there is a problem. I have to find out exactly what it does and what it is, and since the site is so * * stupid, as all the other sites that try to explain it but don’t tell the right things, I am extremely pissed off. It is so complicated just to do that one little thing, just as it should not be.

Besides trying to get through that impossible stupidness I have been doing other worth while things. One of them, as you may have noticed, is to put in comment luv and display top commentators. In a few months I may have a prize for the top commentator, or better even to have a contest with PRIZES PRIZES PRIZES. That would be cool. I have a few contest ideas, one is the normal one, having people get points by commenting, blogging about the contest, or subscribing. The other idea is to have a star wars contest, where the one who is best at star wars trivia will win. If I could or can I would or will do both.

I have been trying to create a new website, though I have run into many walls, and my help browser failed come through. If you guys have any tips, I would be more than happy(extremely happy) to except them. It would be phenomenal if one of you that has good tips had access to a chat program, such as AIM or Google chat. That is only if you want or need, because it wold cut into your time, and I could probably take a few hours to find the hard-to-find-information myself.

One more thing I would like to say, I might start writing posts about circus type things, instructions to some skills and tricks. They will first be completely free, but if I have a lot of information about one topic I may try to write an ebook on it, which I will sell.

Later, or actually really soon, I will become unavailable, because I will be going to a festival type thing and then a movie/party with my dad, and I do not know how soon I will be back. I wish you and me good luck! I am still working working working, and I hope to see you again soon. I have some or I did have some posts in mind, which I will hopefully present later. Wish me luck! (Does luck exist? Is it possible to have luck? What is it? It was just talked about when this Realtor type person came over to put a sign in our window saying the house is for sale, and a phrase is said, “wish them luck.” Have these questions float through your mind and have all your knowledge come to me, haha! Anyway bye!) :p

Looking Into Something New

Tonight I or we watched Bridge to Terabithia, a movie of a book I have read, and it was surprisingly quite similar to the book. This movie actually taught it’s purpose, the purpose the book had. And if you have seen it, Lesley dieing herself isn’t the sad part, the sad part is, or more the happy part, to recognize what she gave everyone that was around her. To me it was wonderful how they created it, the joy and mourning put together, it gave you that emotion, the inspiration to open your mind to the world and new ideas, and to me that was amazing. Sorry this post is so short, it is only something that should be recognized. I am working on improving my site by the way so look for changes.

Contest At Rob’s!

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Reviews | Posted on 22-04-2008

Yes. There is a contest. Hooray! It is at robinhaney.com, called make money online, and most blogs are or are close to that, and though it is about making money online, maybe the title should be called something else, and the tagline can be what it is or make money online. That’s enough with the site design though. Before anything else I should tell you how it works.

The readers earn points. The ways to earn points will be explained.
The winner is randomly picked from everybody. Now the more points you have, the higher chance of winning you have. For the most part. The ways to earn points are:

  1. Subscribe to the RSS feed of the blog.(20 points) This will earn you an automatic 20 points right after you sign up.
  2. Write about this contest on your blog.(50 points) All you have to do is write a short little thing about the contest. The minimum word length for the post is 50 words. Be sure to linkback to that post so he can see that your traceback.
  3. Leave a comment.(2.5 points) An easy way to get points for the contest, though not at a super fast rate, it’ll help your point count and your way towards victory. Note:no spam comments, they will be deleted, so I advise you to put at least 10 second of thought making it a valuable comment.

The prize for the contest is half of the blogger’s earnings. This could be good. The contest ends in the beginning of May. Precisely, May 1st. Great start for me, I have about 80 points. I hope you guys earn some. Good luck!

Some Devilish Endeavors of My Weekend

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 21-04-2008

I am so busy reading only my 6 or 7 blogs that I hardly have time to write on my own. I have found time though. All weekend I have been anticipating this post, or something that is or was going to be like it, called “I need leeches, or wine, too.” This comes off of the two posts on lionandmagicboy.com that talk about perils of scarlet fever. One is called “quick! send leeches!” and the other is ” the leeches didn’t work; send wine.” It turns out I have or had scarlet fever too, and as described there, I describe it in pain.

I thought my illness to be over after I recovered Tuesday, but I must have been wrong. On Friday morning, I woke up with a painful sore throat that was squeezing tighter and tighter… I still went to school. There at school, not long after the very beginning of the day, we had a study hall, not normal of course but because of band stuff blah blah, I started shivering. I was very cold. I knew that I was sick. I endured the painful 45 minutes, suffering through an uncontrollable shaking, not knowing when it was coming. After that I could not bear this longer so I went to the nurse. There I suffered the same harsh shivering and uncontrolled shaking, and the nurse said I should go home. Then  napped for two hours, and after that the rest of my weekend will be explained later or never explained. It was pain though!

There ws my hopefully interesting story on the sickness of scarlet fever. I don’t think I have captured all the suffering and pain s it should be. You must exaggerate it, stretch it, make them read on! Whatever. Anyway, I have some new ideas for this blog, the main one is to write more. One of the next posts hopefully coming, about a contest! (Not mine. The post will help m towards this contest though)

Tricked Out Gmail

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Technology | Posted on 19-04-2008

If you don’t know already, I pass the news, Gmail has a new look. It is darker now, new colors, something you must try. It was redesigned by Globex Designs. They thought that the old Gmail look was getting too old after 4 years or so, and they redesigned it. I am quite happy with it myself.  Here is where you can read more about it and install it using stylish. I first heard and read about this at tech-buzz.net, and for those of you who come from there sorry that I have no new content. Hope you enjoy the look!

Sickness? What Sickness?

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 15-04-2008

The title partially comes from a category on lionandmagicboy.com, which is titled “children? what children?” You may be wondering why I am posting at 11 am on a Tuesday, and yes that is a little weird. In a recent post of mine, I talked about wondering if you should tell why you were away and not blogging. I did say you should tell why, but it doesn’t have to be a whole post of why. That would be wrong. People don’t want to hear how you etc, etc, etc, they want to hear something that is new to them, unique and something they will enjoy. I have been sick, which is defiantly not pleasant. I won’t tell you the details for as I said, people don’t always want to know. Now at 5:30, finishing the post I started at 11 am, I am not feeling as bad. I hope I can find some interesting content to talk about.

Birthday Time: April 13th

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Holiday! Holiday! | Posted on 13-04-2008

Today is my dad’s birthday! Happy Birthday! I wasn’t with him for most of it, though now I am, writing in my semi comfortable or semi uncomfortable blogging place, not that it is hard, it is a beanbag chair. Anyway, happy birth day. (I advise you read the other below this)

Star Wars The Force Unleashed

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Business, Reviews, Technology, Uncategorized | Posted on 13-04-2008

Well, star wars the force unleashed is video game. Who here is not in favour of video games? Or star wars? When I first heard or actually saw about this video game, I wasn’t very interested. But it has come more and more into my liking, and now I want it. 1.) I saw a video of it, not a documentary, but someone playing it, though it hasn’t been released. I was sad at how the main character held his lightsaber behind his back. 2.)But something changed my mind. On spike tv, they advertised how they would later, after A New Hope, talk about the new video game StarWars the Force Unleashed. Well, of course I did not see that, but the next day (Saturday) I went on to spike.com to give a link there for my post about the star wars movies playing. Something caught my eye there, one of the featured things was something on this new videogame. 3.) I watched a video talking about the new game, and learned much. This is what changed my mind.

You play the game as Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, whose name was not revealed. You also get to play as Darth Vader himself in the beginning. At first (when I saw the first youtube vid of the person playing it) I thought it was stupid to play as the darkside, one of the reasons I didn’t like it. But I got over that and think it is interesting to play as a sith.

The video (be sure to watch the other four about the same game, they will automatically go into the next so no worry about trying to switch)(unless you want to) says that you get to learn more about the character of Darth Vader, see who he really is. It is set in between episode 3 (revenge of the sith) and episode 4 (a new hope). This will be interesting to see how that works out.

It talked about something called duel mode, where you were not just the sith. In duel mode you were the jedi, Anakin, Luke, Mace Windu, Yoda, Obi Wan, and so on. That sounded really interesting. Also in the game, I don’t know what part, you were other characters such as Princess Leia.

One of my favourite features of the game, there are multiple endings. It talked about how there some choices for you to make in the game, and everyone’s outcome would not be the same. It even hinted that the choices had something to do with being a jedi instead of a sith. Also the game is a little different for each gaming platform, and thjat brings me on to my next half of the post.

I cannot go without talking about making money, and it is true for this post. I want that video game. And I want it for a Wii platform. I do not currently have a Wii, but it would be good for many reasons. I am getting a little sidetracked from my post about Star Wars the Force Unleashed, so I will talk about the Wii later. I am planning to buy one, that is all. I am going to set a goal to make at least 500-600 dollars, but preferably more. With that 500 dollars I will buy a Wii, all the needed accessories, and a few games. (I have some in mind). I will tell more about the Wii and my goal tomorrow.
