Comments?

Before I get into my little post lecture about commenting and so on and so forth, I am just writing this introductory paragraph. I usually do this and talk about how things are going before I get into my post. An update on the virus situation, I think the virus is cleared, all sign show it is gone. I am posting from the other computer though, because my laptop is acting up and being really slow. I will have to look into that. I may have been overworking it trying to catch up on what I and many other MMO addicts call life. I am coming back on track, or catching the express to Hogwarts, whichever you want to say. If there is something crucial I have missed over the past few days leave a comment and we’ll go from there. My introductory paragraph has grown so long I should have renamed this post, “Catching up on life.” All I have to say for now, be looking for the summary paragraph to tell you more (I am annoying, aren’t I?).
So! What do you know about commenting? You know that you comment on some people’s sites but not others, and hopefully people do not purposely skip your site. I will talk about the benefits of commenting and how some miss out on them.
What do comments build? Comments can bring things to your site that are completely wonderful. Sometimes commenting on a site can make a huge difference! (Ok people, transferring computers, I know this isn’t live, but it feels that way).(Transfer complete). So, commenting on a site can have them check out your site, and if they like your site, BOOM!, you are bookmarked or have another subscriber. Now, in the next paragraph you will see another reaction, that may be even better. Or, it magnifies this.
What blogs to comment on? Speaking from experience, you do not want to waste your time commenting on big wig bloggers. The biggest blog I read is TUK, or the University Kid, (maybe tech-buzz.net is as big or bigger as TUK) and that is not that big. I don’t read and comment on things like John Chow or whatever, that to me seems like a waste of time, So, if you want to develop some links, try smaller blogs. If you comment there, the will follow to your site and may become lifetime readers, but John Chow people will glance at you and leave (especially if your site design is crappy). So, if you comment on a small blog, they will come to you and help raise that count. For they will tell friends and family and maybe post about you on there blog, link to you, and so on.
Why don’t many people comment on my blog? That I have no idea, but I wish I did, because it is really weird. I don’t know why I don’t get many comments, I think my content is pretty decent, but I guess people don’t always feel the need. Sometimes is fine. But some of you (spies) have never commented, even lie commented, lying about who you are. Things are just weird how they work. But commenting does really improve your blog.
Wrap up paragraph. I am thinking about having a contest soon of a few different things, not a major one, but minor, very small. One of the things will be top commentator I think. Also, don’t forget, talk like Yoda day is on Thursday.
