The Last Blog Post Of 2008

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 31-12-2008

Today is the New Year’s Eve, and in just over an hour the year 2009 will arrive. We can look back at 2008 as what ever we want to, but really it is just a figure of measuring the everlasting distance of time. However, I do feel something special about 2008. I found a new voice in myself, and I tried many things that were new, and shaped my life into something much different than what it once was. My blogging career took off in April, and reached it’s peak in July, but from September is has dwindled down considerably. The events of 2008 have given my life new form, and have touched me in a good way. I welcome a new year, as I look out on a past that I will never forget.

A Blogger’s Biggest Weakness

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 03-12-2008

At some point, a blogger must face the aspect that challenges them the most, figure it out, and overcome it. That thing that you always do wrong, or something you always have to keep pulling yourself back to, that thing, you have to fix. You have to get over that one little problem.

I know I have had a lot of problems with my theme, but I looked into that, and I really had a problem with decisions for this blog, and the confidence of those decisions. I have tried to look that over to, so I can overcome that and make decisions for the blog and feel confident about them, but also while making those decisions have a sense for other’s needs and wants.

Everybody has something different that they have to work on, to improve, to fix, so that they can really blog at their full potential. If you always have difficulty writing content then until you make a plan and figure how you can always produce content than I am guessing your problem will stay the way it is.

I encourage you, like I do a lot, to look into your problem, and share it. When you share it others may be able to offer improvement, or they may even know of a solution. An experienced blogger may have faced many challenges, and they can help new bloggers rise to their challenges ad surpass them to become experienced themselves. This is a world where everyone is competing, though sometimes it seems we are competing to see who can help the most people. By helping others, that is how we win in the blogosphere.

In that case, after you finish solving your problem, if you find someone else who has to figure out what is bogging them down then you can help them, and in that way you have solved yet another challenge.

It is difficult to face your biggest weakness, and hard by all means to share it, but you can find the support you need and you can overcome your difficulty if you let others know what you have to face. And this is how you will finally overcome it.

What is your biggest weakness?

The Difference Between Thinking And Doing

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 02-12-2008

There are many times where you have a great idea, or a great thing to do that will really help you or others. But you end up just not doing it. Why is that?

In blogging you have to understand the difference between thinking and doing. You may know of a way to boost your RSS count, but you must do it. Usually, work does not do itself, but the work will pay off. So you have to get yourself from thinking to doing.

If it is writing a post:

I you always think about writing a post, but you never end up writing it when the day finishes, you might have a problem that is had to overcome. You must really push yourself, you have to leap into it, and from there it will come. You can outsource it if you want, just somehow get a fresh plate of content out there. No matter how challenging it may be, if you want it to appear, you have to work for it.

The same goes for much else, you really have to try to get what you want. So stop thinking, and start doing! Get out there and blog! What is holding you back?

Don’t “almost,” pull through!

Don’t “almost” make it, for that will not help you. This time you actually have to make it.

Once you have it down, make it stick.

After you get over that initial bump of resistance, make sure in the future that is doesn’t happen again. It may take time for the persistence habit to settle in, but if you keep pressing it the action will stick with you.

So I know you have a great post idea write now, and how your blog will be flocked with comments and visitors, so stop thinking about that but get out there and do it!

Change? What?

Posted by Nathaniel | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 01-12-2008

Remember how I said this theme would stay for a long time? Well I am afraid I might have been wrong when I made that assumption at the beginning of the month when warmth and sunshine filled the air. Now it is bitter cold with bitter frost, and snow touches the ground ever so often in those perfect, clean cut, white, flakes that fall to the ground in a blurring wind. Besides a little snow, everyone is put in a holiday and festive mood, and you want to think about winter, and Christmas, whereas a week ago you did not, and you found out December was in a week. Everything is a surprise, and there is a new adventure around every corner. And no matter how old you are, there is always magic in the air during the holiday time.

So because of this, I feel the need to change my theme from that bright green to a blue, filled with frost, or with a holiday picture. I feel like celebrating with the rest, getting into the spirit, having this the time of year where everything needs change, or addition, and everything is good. So I am going to change my theme, to show my love for the magic of this season.

Now, if you would, I am on the lookout for those kinds of themes, for it is a bit hard to find the right one. If you happen to see one, I would be pleased and would take a look at it. This way everyone can participate.

Also, I wish everyone a happy December, and I hope you all dwelled on our thoughts at the end of November. A new season has started everyone, so let us get to work and make it a good one!
